Islamic Center holds open house | Arts & Culture
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Islamic Center of Cape Girardeau opened its doors to over 100 people on Sunday.
Members say it was to share the message of Islam and traditional-ethnic food of the Mediterranean and south Asian variety.
Members tell Heartland News the purpose of this program was to educate and develop harmonious relationships with the community. And, through better understanding of Islam directly from Muslims, they hope to address common misconceptions about the religion.
