CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - If a trip to the theater is on your plate on the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, you're experience may be a lot more crisp and clear than ever before.
Cape Girardeau's Wehrenberg Theater is following other theaters around the country and is going digital. That means no more film.
The new projectors have built in computers in which they download the movies.
The feature presentation should look better than ever before.
"Digital will actually give you a sharper image," said Kevin Dillon, Cape West 14 Cine's general manager. "You get a lot more of the brightness, a lot more color. There's a wider range of color you get with the new images."
Heartland News tried to contact Cape Girardeau's other theater, the Town Plaza Cinema, to see if they're digital or going digital. Their corporate office did not return our calls.
