Cape Central debuts $10 million auditorium | Arts & Culture
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Cape Central orchestra will debut in the high school new $10 million auditorium.
It has all the latest technology in lighting and sound.
The facility includes 1000 seats, including a balcony.
It also features high-end lighting and acoustics.
Orchestra Director Steven Shaffner says the new facility will greatly benefiti his orchestra's sound.
"While our practice area has been state of the art, our performance area has not," said Shaffner. "So it will be nice to work a performance up and perform in a venue that will showcase it at its best."
The orchestra performed a concert for fellow students Tuesday morning. The big performance is Tuesday at 7 p.m.
