The Prodigy School is a private, faith-based school started in 2009 by former Cape Girardeau teachers.

The new owners may be thinking about building new, so we are hoping they will decide to sell the building to another party for rehabilitation before deciding to demolish.

The Old Jefferson school building is on the national registry of historic places as Cape Girardeau's las
