Cardinals add new pitcher to rotation
CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS)- The St. Louis Cardinals brought right handed pitcher Trevor Rosenthal up from the Class AA Springfield Cardinals to the majors Monday morning.
The 22-year old had a record of 8-6 and struck out 83 batters in 94 innings while playing for the Springfield Cardinals.
St. Louis needed to add more depth to its bullpen.
The Cardinals also placed Jaime Garcia on the 60-day disabled list early Monday morning.
