Eagles' Christmas basket drive makes 120 baskets for area families
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau Eagles held their annual Christmas Basket Drive on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Volunteers took 120 baskets full of food and toys to families in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Jackson and Marble Hill. They say about 60 volunteers worked to put the gift baskets together and bring the holiday spirit to those in need.
Organizers say they raised $6,000 to put on this event, which has gone on for more than 30 years.
