Dance-a-thon held for Children's Miracle Network | Community Spirit

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The SEMO Dance Marathon put on a 12-hour dance-a-thon Saturday to help out the Children's Miracle Network.
The hours were between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday. They had 159 people show up to dance the day away.
Each hour participants learned part of a Morale dance song for a couple minutes and at the end of the day they will put it all together and have one big dance. They filled the other part of the day with games to entertain and even win some prizes.
They had families that are part of the Children's Miracle Network tell their story of how their life has been affected and why they are here today.
They have a goal of $15,000 they hope to reach by the end of April and were already at $7802. They will have donations from people after this event as well as other fund raising events to help them reach their goal.
All the people who attended are students from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
