CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A photo exhibit of Missouri's fallen will be on display September 8-15 in the A.C. Brase Arena Building during the 157th Southeast Missouri District Fair.
Chairman LTC Terry Crass said the exhibit was created by Bill and Evonne Williams of Patriotic Productions and sponsored by Bellevue University. The display has been endorsed by both the American Legion and VFW of Missouri. Both these groups have recognized the importance of remembering those who are willing to sacrifice all for our freedoms.
"We can never forget those who have sacrificed everything for our freedom." said Colonel James Biermessar (Ret.) USAF and Director of Military Programs for Bellevue University. "We must remember these American Heroes and speak their names when we see family members."
Organizers say this exhibit has been created in such a way that it may travel throughout Missouri so that more people will have the opportunity to honor and remember Missouri’s Fallen.
The display, which has traveled through Missouri for four years and viewed by thousands is presented free of charge to the public by the local sponsorship of the Southeast Missouri District Fair.
