Hands Across Missouri event Oct. 13 | Community Spirit

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Hands Across Missouri For Mental Health will be October 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will be at Arena Park shelters 1 and 2. This is a consumer-run event sponsored by the Missouri Mental Health Foundation, the Missouri Department of Mental Health and local partnering organizations. It is designed to raise awareness of mental health issues and stigmas.

There will be a moment of silence at 11 a.m. to commemorate the event and Mental Awareness Week which Oct. 7-13. Organizers say there will be chili, hot dogs, soda and crackers sold at a nominal price.
