CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Old Town Cape is hosting its 21st Annual Parade of Lights on Sunday, November 25.

This year’s theme is “All I Want for Christmas.” The parade will begin at approximately 5 p.m. or as soon as dusk arrives. The parade route starts at Capaha Park and proceeds down Broadway, turns right on Main Street and ends at Merriwether.

“This is a great event because the community participates and it’s amazing how this event has grown so rapidly," said Parade Chairman Kent Zickfield. "This parade is a good way to set the tone of the Christmas season and it truly has become an iconic event for the community. We love it so much that we just keep doing it year after year.”

Entries in the parade are limited to the first 100 applicants and each entry must be lighted and play or sing Christmas music. For information on how to enter the parade, visit www.oldtowncape.org/events.

The Parade of Lights, Downtown Christmas Open House and parade decorations are sponsored by the Christmas in Old Town Cape sponsors: Drury Southwest, Rhodes 101 Convenience Stores and Regions Bank. In addition, this event is a huge success thanks to the Southeast Missourian, our media sponsor.
