Old Town Cape to host annual dinner with honors, accomplishments | Community Spirit

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Old Town Cape’s Annual Dinner, sponsored by Red Letter Communications and Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, is set for Thursday, February 28.
The dinner will be at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, 777 N. Main. The organization will celebrate downtown accomplishments made in 2012 while honoring special projects and individuals.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. The dinner, provided by Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, and program will start at 7 p.m. Both events will be held in the Event Center and a cash bar will be available.
Awards to be given include Business Excellence, Volunteer of the Year, Charles L. Hutson Visionary, John Boardman Excellence in Historic Rehabilitation and the Judith Ann Crow Residential Historic Rehabilitation. There will also be an introduction of the 2013 Old Town Cape Board of Directors.
“The Annual Dinner is our way of taking a pause, looking back and giving recognition," said Marla Mills, executive director of Old Town Cape. "Downtown is everybody’s neighborhood and we want the entire community to join us in celebrating the past year and identifying what we have to look forward to in the next year.”
The event is open to the public but reservations are required. Tickets are $30 each and tables of eight are available for purchase at $240.
