JCMM to have fundraiser at Gordonville Grill | Community Spirit

GORDONVILLE, MO (KFVS) - The Jamaican Christian Medical Mission will participate in a fundraiser at Gordonville Grill on Tuesday, March 29.
The fundraiser will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Ten percent of the sales from Tuesday night will be donated to JCMM to buy medical supplies.
JCMM began in 1999 with the Evangelical United Church of Christ. Several people including ministers, dentists, pharmacists, doctors and nurses travel every two years to Carron Hall, Jamaica to provide medical supplies and health services to the farming village.
Some medical supplies the mission needs include:
- Medical items like gauze, thermometers, stethoscopes, eye glasses and hearing aids
- Personal items like hairbrushes, shower caps, shampoo, toothbrushes, lotion and soap
- School items like crayons, glue, pens, rulers, construction paper and notebook paper
- New or used and clean linens such as sheets, towels and pillow cases
- Plastic shelves
- Batteries
- Post-It Notes
- Walkers
- Canes
- Potty chairs
