Cape Girardeau Police Dept. has new crime fighting tool | Crime
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau Police Department has a new crime fighting tool.
It's basically a metal detector specially designed for crime scene investigators.
The device can be programmed to pick up certain kins of metal, like the types used in bullets and shell casings, at certain depths.
It makes the search more efficient by weeding out all the other metal items a regular detector might hit.
Police found a bullet Tuesday as the first piece of potential evidence picked up by the new detector on it's first outing.
