Cape Girardeau Police Department investigation summary 1/15 | Crime
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau Police report summary on Tuesday, January 15 includes the following arrest and investigations.
On Friday, Jan. 11, around 10:53 p.m., police say an officer saw a disturbance in the 400 block of South Sprigg. They say the officer saw a woman holding a knife in the direction of a man. The officer got out of his car and detained the woman after she refused to cooperate and became combative. Through the investigation, 51-year-old Arleather Bell was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest. She is being held on a $10,000 bond.
On Monday, Jan. 14, around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to 238 North Fountain in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred. The police department says when officers arrived, they made contact with the clerk who said a black man, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build and wearing black clothing, entered the business with a hand gun. Police say the suspect ran from the business after taking an undisclosed amount of money. They say no suspects are in custody at this time and no one was injured.
Also on Monday, Jan. 14, around 11:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to investigate a possible assault. Police say the investigation led them to a 15-year-old who was in an intimate relationship with someone over the age of 21. The police department says no warrant has been issued at this time and the case is still under investigation.
