Cape Girardeau Police Department investigation summary 1/22 | Crime
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau Police Department has released more details on their incident summary report.
On Friday, Jan. 18 around 8:35 a.m., police say a person entered WalMart and tried to make a purchase with counterfeit bills. They say he left before an officer arrived. Through their investigation, the person was identified ast Donald R. Powell, 58, from Cape Girardeau. He was arrested and charged with counterfeiting. His bond was set at $25,000.
On Saturday, Jan. 19 around 6:05 p.m., police say a man reported he was walking from Silver Springs and Themis when someone in a vehicle approached him. They say the subject allegedly showed a knife and ordered the victim into the vehicle. After taking personal items from the victim, police say the suspect drove to a different location and the victim got out of the car. Within 10 minutes, police say the suspect was arrested on an unrelated traffic violation. Justin E. Patterson, 21, homeless, was charged with B felony robbery in the first degree, C felony of felonious restraint and felony armed criminal action. His bond was set at $75,000.
