Police: Woman kicked officer in chest, groin | Crime

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested a Cape Girardeau woman after they say she kicked a police officer.

It happened in the 400 block of Washington in Cape Girardeau around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Officers were called to the area after a report of two women fighting.  When they arrived, officers tried to arrest Stephanie Cerny, 31, but she was combative.

Police say Cerny kicked an officer in the chest and groin while she was being put in a patrol car.  The officer did not have any major injuries.

Cerny was arrested on 2nd Degree Class C felony assault on a law enforcement officer.

Her bond was set at $10,000.
