Southeast Missouri State University to host National History Day contest | Events
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Southeast Missouri State University will host the National History Day district contest at the University Center on March 11.
The contest will include about 500 junior high and high school students from several surrounding counties competing for a chance to go to the state National History Day competition at the University of Missouri on April 9.
Students will compete in one of five categories including:
- historical paper
The theme for History Day this year is "Debate and Diplomacy in History: Successes, Failures, Consequences."
Project judging will be from 9 a.m. - noon at the University Center. The awards cerermony will be held at 2 p.m. in Rose Theatre in Grauel Building.
