'Another Christmas Vacation' light show and drama in Jackson

'Another Christmas Vacation' light show and drama in Jackson

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - Crossroads Church in Jackson presents "Another Christmas Vacation."

The public is invited to the indoor light show, drama, and musical presentation.

Mark Griswold, the grandson of Clark Griswold, is a chip off the old block. He wants to put together a spectacular light show for his friends and family. But somehow in the shuffle of Christmas, Mark and his wife Marcie forget the real meaning of Christmas.

Cousin Freddie arrives unexpectedly in his RV to provide lots of laughs. Grandma Gris may be 80, but she's a spitfire!

It takes a special Christmas play from two of Mark and Marcie's children to remind the family of the true meaning of Christmas.

There will be a live band and more than 20,000 lights timed to contemporary and traditional Christmas music!

The admission is free.

There will be three performances:

The Red Cross is inviting the public to send messages of thanks and holiday cheer until Dec. 7 by mailing them to:

Holiday Mail for Heroes
P.O. Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456

To ensure that cards are delivered on time for the holidays, the Red Cross says they must be postmarked no later than Dec. 7. Individuals are asked to refrain from sending "care packages," monetary donations or using glitter or any other kinds of inserts with the cards.

According to the Red Cross, the company Pitney Bowes Inc. receives cards at the special Holiday Mail post office box, and screens them for hazardous materials. The company screens, packages and ships the cards at no charge.
