River Tales Classic Car Show held in downtown Cape Girardeau

River Tales Classic Car Show held in downtown Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The River City Rodders Car Club in conjunction with Old Town Cape hosted the 35th Annual River Tales Classic Car Show on Sunday.

Over 200 cars and trucks were on display downtown along Main St. and in the parking lot across from Hutson's Fine Furniture.

The cars ranged in age from 80-years-old to some in around 20-years-old.

Dow Croom owns a 1972 Dodge Demon and he enjoys showing it off every year.

"We really enjoy the atmosphere," said Croom. "The people are friendly. There are just a lot of car-buffs out there. We obviously travel on wheels and a lot of people like to see these cars. There are a lot of high-dollar cars up and down through here. And these people spend year, literally years, putting these cars together."

The River Tales Classic Car Show has been held in downtown Cape Girardeau since 2007.
