CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The city of Cape Girardeau says the Public Works Department will start concrete slab repair and replacement on North Broadview Street at the intersection of Independence Street on March 16, weather permitting.
According to the city, the work will only close part of North Broadview and traffic will be detoured through Arena Park. They say the intersection should reopen on Monday, March 19.
If road work is rained out on March 16, the city says the project will start on March 23. Work is scheduled over a weekend to avoid the busiest traffic times for area businesses.
Drivers are urged to be cautious while driving through work zones, plan for delays and consider alternate routes.
