Hospital names new medical partners administrator | News

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A new administrator of Saint Francis Medical Partners has been named.

Verlene Luna, MHA, FACHE, was named by Saint Francis Medical Center as the new administrator. She will provide leadership for all operational, financial and administrative aspects of their partner's network.

Before joining Saint Francis, Luna worked with several healthcare systems in developing employed physicians networks. Most recently, she worked as a consultant and administrator for Internal Medicine Associates of Southeast Missouri in Poplar Bluff. She was previously director of physician practice services for Providence Health and Services in Olympia, Wash., and director of business development at Aultman Health Foundation in Canton, Ohio.

Luna graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, Mo., with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and earned a master's in healthcare administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She also finished an administrative internship with Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and is board certified in healthcare administration. Luna is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
