Man accused of shooting at wife, police makes court appearance

JACKSON, MO (KFVS)- The case of the man accused of shooting at his wife and police in Jackson on June 13, was bound over to circuit court on Thursday.

Lawrence Guthrie, 45, faces three counts of assault on law enforcement, one count of domestic assault, and one count of armed criminal action.

Investigators say Guthrie shot himself and was also hit by a bullet from police after a standoff.

Officers headed out to a Jackson neighborhood after Guthrie's wife called 911 saying her husband shot at her.

Guthrie's next court date is scheduled for September 10.
