CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS)- Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau is now clear and open following a tractor-trailer crash Tuesday night that involved an associated circuit judge.

Both northbound lanes of I-55 near the 98 mile marker were closed overnight due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger car, according to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department.

Associate Circuit Judge Division IV Scott A. Lipke was driving the passenger car.

The Cape Assistant Fire Chief also said a second tractor-trailer overturned near Delta.

It happened on highway 25 about one mile north of Delta.

According to the Cape County Sheriff's Department, at one point the road was closed but it has re-opened.
