1 injured in rollover crash in Cape Girardeau | News

One person was injured after a rollover crash on Clark Street in Cape Girardeau near the Senior Center.

Lombardo and Clark streets are now clear, but still very congested. 

Officer Hickey with Cape Girardeau Police says a 58-year-old man was headed southbound on Clark and swerved to the right to avoid hitting stopped traffic in front of him.

The vehicle went off the road, hit and drove up on a guide wire and then overturned and rolled into the road. 

The driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area as traffic is still backed up.
