CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS)- A Cape Girardeau teen was arrested after Cape Girardeau police received a report of shots fired around 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

Kalum Jabreel Campbell, 17, of Cape Girardeau is charged with the class B Felony of unlawful use of a weapon with a bond of $50,000 surety. He was still in custody Tuesday morning.

It happened in the Bloomfield and Hanover area of Cape Girardeau.

While in route, Cape Girardeau police say officers were given information that there were two shooters involved and were given descriptions of the suspects.

When officers arrived, they say they found the person that is believed to be involved in the shooting and he was arrested in the 400 block of South Benton. They say they do not have a second person in custody.

Police say they are still investigating what the suspects were shooting at, but it does not appear they were shooting at each other.

No injuries have been reported. Police say several shell casings were found at the scene.
