Jackson crews begin roadside mowing season

Jackson crews begin roadside mowing season

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - The Jackson Street Department will be out maintaining city-owned roadsides by keeping them mowed in the spring and summer months.

The city says they take a proactive approach to address mowing with consideration of drivers' safety. Residents and businesses will continue to see consistent levels of service in mowing along Jackson streets this season, particularly in areas where there are safety concerns such as sight-distance issues.

Drivers are urged to use extreme caution and allow city workers and their mowing equipment the space needed to properly cut the road shoulders.

For more information, please contact Street Superintendent Steve Hendrix at 243-8280 or Public Works Director Rodney Bollinger at 243-2300.
