CCHS 2012 alum receives $2,500 scholarship | Schools

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Central High School member of the class of 2012 is the recipient of a $2,500 scholarship toward tuition at Washington University in St. Louis.
The scholarship was through Proctor and Gamble Paper Products Company and is administered by Cape Girardeau Public Schools Foundation.
A scholar, musician and athlete, Sobti was also active in the community, supporting efforts of the United Way, Southeast Hospital and Boy Scouts.
At CHS, he was a varsity swimmer and tennis player, member of Spanish Club, National Honor Society, Boy Scouts and FBLA. He participated in Scholar Bowl activities and played the alto saxophone. At Washington University, Sobti is majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
