Scott City resident receives LPN scholarship to Cape Career and Technology Center | Schools

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society Alliance and the Health Careers Foundation annually award a $200 scholarship to a practical nursing student enrolled at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center.

Rebecca Wheetley of Scott City is this year’s recipient. The second-year evening practical nursing student is pictured receiving the scholarship check from Dean Whitlow, Assistant Director, Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center, 1080 S. Silver Springs Rd.

Wheetley is scheduled to graduate September 26, 2013. She is one of 71 LPN students enrolled at CTC. The school district say smore than 800 LPNs have graduated from CTC since the program began in 1974.
