1,400 students participate in "Classroom on the Court" | Schools

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The Southeast Missouri State University girls basketball team schooled more than the SIU-Edwardsville Cougars at the Show-Me Center Monday morning.
Around 1,400 elementary school students from Scott County R-4 to Kelso to St. Vincent De Paul in Cape Girardeau got a lesson at the game.
The kids were taking part in Southeast's first "Classroom on the Court" program.
Armed with worksheets and pencils, the kids kept score, counted fouls and solved other basketball related math problems during the game.
Nine schools in all were at the game.
The sutdents saw a nail biter of a game.
The score was tied much of the time until the Redhawks pulled away in the final two minutes to win 67 to 62.
