MDC has a little Halloween fun with zombies

(KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Conservation is having some Halloween fun on their website.

In their recent and special Fresh Afield blog post, the MDC is offering hunters, anglers and outdoorsmen some tips on spotting and safely escaping a zombie.

Jokingly, the MDC says the zombie invasion is like the feral hog problem in parts of Missouri, and its management is similar.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau police officer wore a special new uniform for a good cause on Thursday.

Lieutenant John Davis lost a bet with some of his colleagues. They were competing over who could raise the most money for the United Way of Southeast Missouri. Davis lost, just barely, and had to direct traffic in a tutu at the department's fundraiser for the agency.

The police department set up shop at the city firing range with shooting matches, barbeque and more.

This year the police department says they nearly doubled their contributions to the United Way.
